  16. Because the fellow who kept a recent and correctly-compiled
  17. version of kermit has evidently abandoned using netcom,
  18. there remains only a half-working version -- one that
  19. downloads ok, but gets errors on uploading.

  21. Mindspring (bought netcom) is saying that one of us
  22. USERS has to put up a kermit, it we want one.

  24. Well, they allow us only 5mb of disk; over that, they
  25. CHARGE.
  26.  
  27. One person from mindspring was saying that their hands
  28. were tied because your free-use license disallowed
  29. any "commercial" use -- including, they inferred, as an
  30. ISP, for their customers.
  31.  
  32. QUESTION:  just what IS the situation?
  33.  
  34. And, if there is a charge for "commercial" use (like by mindspring),
  35. HOW MUCH of a charge is it?

  41. PS: that KERMIT is a WONDERFUL package indeed!

  43. esp with all the error-catching it does, and the ability
  44. to resume a download after a crashed session, and still
  45. lose nothing.
